FRP boat is the main type of FRP products. Due to its large size and many cambers, the FRP hand paste molding process can be integrated to complete the construction of the boat.
Because FRP is light, corrosion-resistant and can be integrally formed, it is very suitable for building boats. Therefore, boats are often the first choice when developing FRP products.
According to the purpose, FRP boats are mainly divided into the following categories:
(1) Pleasure boat. It is used for water surface of the park and water tourist attractions. Small ones include hand rowing boat, pedal boat, battery boat, bumper boat, etc; Large and medium-sized sightseeing boats and painted boats with ancient architectural interest are used for collective sightseeing by many tourists. In addition, there are high-grade household yachts.
(2) Speedboat. It is used for patrol duty of water public security navigation law enforcement and water surface management departments. It is also used for fast passenger transport and exciting amusement on water.
(3) Lifeboat. Life saving equipment that must be equipped for large and medium-sized passenger and cargo transportation and offshore oil drilling platforms for river and sea navigation.
(4) Sports boat. For sports and sports competitions, such as windsurfing, rowing, dragon boat, etc.
After completing the product design of the boat, the FRP professional technicians will carry out the mold design and boat construction process design.
Mold design first determines the moldability according to the production quantity of boats: if there are many production batches, durable FRP molds can be made. When designing the mold, the mold shall be designed as an integral or combined type according to the complexity of the ship type and the demoulding needs, and the rollers shall be set according to the moving needs. The die thickness, stiffener material and section size shall be determined according to the size and stiffness of the boat. Finally, the mold construction process document is compiled. In terms of mold materials, FRP molds should consider factors such as demoulding, knocking and heat release during repeated product curing. Select resin varieties with certain toughness and heat resistance, such as special mold resin, mold gel coat, etc.
